Welcome new and old friends to the 2010 website. We are gearing up for a bigger and better 2010 festival and with your support we can keep running this marathon, while repeating “must…screen…. films”!
We are happy to officially announce the 2010 festival dates, which will be Thursday 9 September till Sunday 12 September 2010. This annual festival will be taking place at the home of the underground, The Factory Theatre.
Following a hugely successful 2009 festival, it’s time once again for filmmakers everywhere to submit their films to the annual Sydney Underground Film Festival.
Call for entries
Have you made a film? Made several? Or are you currently in the midst of making one? Well, here is something to note in your diary - the early deadline will close Friday 26 March 2010. This is the best way to save some $$ on entry fees. Plus don’t forget filmmakers will also be granted a further $5 ‘recession buster’ discount when a rejection letter from a film festival accompanies their entry.
The early deadline is fast approaching so click here to submit your film via Withoutabox, Paypal, direct deposit or Australia Post money order.
About the festival
The Sydney Underground Film Festival is dedicated to nurturing an alternative film culture through the promotion of independent and experimental films. The festival seeks to support filmmakers who operate outside established film industry infrastructures, by providing a platform for exhibition, exposure and critical discussion. Founded in 2007, the festival runs on the dedication and enthusiasm of its staff, volunteers and interns.
